Review of the Innisfree Humorous Speech Contest Night 21/09/2011.





T. Monaghan wins the competition with a lively humorous speech entitled “Lucky Me” recounting his younger dating days and chat up lines.
E. Mc Gurrin with a witty Humorous speech entitled “We Laugh so we do not cry” recounts how even humour can occur in sensitive areas such as Death & Dying.







M. Galvin entertained us with a humorous speech entitled “A Blow for Freedom”. With tales 
similar to that of Seamus Moore's White Transit Van.

The topic was “It’s not about the winning but the participation”
The winner of the Table Topics competition was Mr. J. O’ Donoghue

The Winners of the Humorous Speech and the Table Topics Competition each received a beautiful handcrafted wooden pen by local wood-turner  Mr. M. Wilson http://wilsonwoodcrafts.ie/.
